What we did

• •We rebuilt the calculator as a React Native mobile application, using the existing web version as the functional starting point. The new interface carried the estimator into a clean, mobile-friendly format and delivered the native feel requested for real estate professionals working from a phone. The work preserved the estimator’s purpose while improving how it handled changing options.
• •We reviewed the calculation logic as we ported each part of the workflow. This exposed stale cached values when users switched settings and revealed that some form changes were not reaching the calculation at all. Finding those issues during development gave the rebuild a clear set of reliability problems to solve.
• •We introduced consistent React state management so form inputs stayed aligned with the user’s current selections. Supported changes then triggered fresh closing-cost calculations instead of relying on outdated values, correcting the specific update failures found in the original calculator.
• •We tested the rebuilt flow by changing form inputs and settings, with special attention to paths that had produced stale or ignored values. The delivered application paired corrected calculation behavior with a mobile-friendly interface. This validation helped confirm that the interface and calculation logic worked together as users moved through the estimator.
