An educational exhibit needed a more engaging way for students and visitors to explore portraits and biographies of historical figures. The touchscreen experience had to make each selection obvious, keep the biography text easy to read, and give visitors a simple way to move from an image to the story behind it.
The kiosk also had to stay focused on its intended purpose. Because the custom Android device would be available for direct visitor use, the client needed to prevent people from leaving the exhibit application, reaching unrelated functions, or changing the experience.
