What we did

• •We implemented the browser-based platform from the client’s designs, then refined it through regular check-ins and quality assurance. A Java-based API and PostgreSQL data layer supported a Vue and TypeScript interface, giving the team an integrated foundation for its custom audit workflow.
• •At the center of the system, we created a hierarchy that connects each audit to its assets and each asset to its controls. Auditors can move controls through defined statuses as work progresses, while clients can review the current audit status and see which items pass or fail.
• •We built document and collaboration tools around that structure. Client-specific files stay associated with the relevant client, while reusable materials can be shared as needed. Role-based permissions distinguish administrators from auditors and support permission requests for actions that need additional access.
• •Editing an audit required extra care because one change could affect related assets and controls. We introduced a front-end draft state so users can review a group of edits before committing them, then managed the update flow to the back end to reduce the risk of inconsistent data.
• •We added a detailed activity history that records who changed an item and when. The completed platform was delivered and put into use, giving TraceSecurity a purpose-built workspace for managing audit documentation, control reviews, and collaboration between auditors and clients.
