Parking Guidance System Dashboard

What we did

• •We designed and built a browser-based application that maps incoming parking events to properties, garage levels, tenants, vehicles, and other managed assets. Search, filters, tabs, maps, and visual summaries help users move from a portfolio-wide view to the details needed for daily oversight.
• •We created dashboards for occupancy, parking duration, usage trends, and vehicle details. The interface uses charts, graphs, lists, and color-coded spatial views to organize large datasets without burying important information. Iterative design work improved labels, legends, tooltips, and chart behavior across screen sizes.
• •We added tenant administration, vehicle history, parking rules, and permission-based user management. Authorized users can assign access to properties or assets, update tenant and vehicle records, and receive email notifications when parking activity conflicts with configured rules.
• •To keep analytics responsive, we normalized edge cases in parking event data and summarized high-volume records into hourly aggregates. We also kept event times in UTC and converted them for each user or property, making live and historical views more consistent across time zones.
• •The platform supports downloadable PDF reports and connects the frontend to a documented API generated from a shared specification. The deployed dashboard gives the product team a working tool for reviewing activity across multiple properties and helping parking operators understand how their assets are used.
